Please check out the 4 Winds page on this site to see some great shots taken by Cristal Vasseur of our first 4 Winds class of the year. A huge thanks to all the volunteers who participate in this program to make it happen.
This is a picture of what students are doing in science class. We have been finding the volume and mass of rocks and other objects by using the water displacement method. I learned from my data that the blue foam had the same volume as the rock but the mass was different. I thought that the experiment was fun and interesting because I learned some things that I did not know.
By Mae Murphy 5th grade, Mr. Bergstein The work has begun for students to start thinking about their PLP. There is a great group of adults prepared to support these students as they think about how they want to push their own learning and utilize transferrable skills to reach those goals.
Well, we all made it through the first day and the kids are still smiling. It was great to see everyone again. Here is Mr. B.'s class with their acrostics, license plates and the classroom puzzle piece. Please take a minute to check out the beautiful work the students did on their Green Up Day posters. You can find a slide show of them on the home page. I put them in the mail today.
